The Texas Rangers Josh Hamilton smoked the competition in the first round hitting a new record of 28 home runs. He also added to the list of the longest home runs hit during a derby, with one being 518 feet. Pretty impressive. What made it even more special is the guy pitching to him was his 71 year old batting coach that he has know for 15 yrs. It was a really sweet story. Plus, if you know Josh Hamilton's story about how he left baseball for 3 seasons due to drugs and alcohol and then found Christ and has made an incredible come back it makes it even sweeter.
