Safety Town

There are a lot of things I love about my city but one at the top of the list is Safety Town.  Next to the main firehouse there is a miniature 'town' with a Wal-Mart, Post Office, Town Hall, working stop lights, stop signs, etc.  Schools can take field trips to the Safety Town and the Firemen will talk to them about calling 911 and then the kids can drive jeeps around the town. They practice traffic laws like stopping at stop signs and crossing the street only at cross walks. Carter's class got to go and this was his first time and it was so fun!  I can't wait until the girls are old enough to go.
