This year was fun because his birthday fell on a Saturday, so we had his party on his actually birthday. Summer birthdays are hard because all of his friends are busy but we had a good turn out and most of all he had fun.
We had his party at a local Karate studio and it was great. The first 30 minutes the did a "mock" class and then the second 30 minutes they played games. Then the last 30 minutes of the party we enjoyed cake.
A lady at my work makes my kiddos cakes. She does an amazing job and they are delicious!

I still think that is such a fun & creative party idea for boys. You can tell he had a great time :)
